By downloading, installing, or using the Tino application or any part of the Service, you enter into a legally binding contract with Tino. This agreement takes effect on the date you first access the Service. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and references to “you” include that entity.
These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any other rules or policies we publish within the Service from time to time. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and any supplementary policy, these Terms shall prevail unless the supplementary policy expressly states otherwise with respect to a specific topic.
These Terms are drafted and shall be interpreted in English. Any translation provided is for convenience only. In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version shall govern.
You must be at least 18 years of age to register for or use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you satisfy this age requirement. We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate any account where we have reasonable grounds to believe the account holder does not meet this requirement, without prior notice and without liability.
When creating your account, you agree to provide accurate, truthful, current, and complete information, including a valid email address and your actual date of birth. You agree to promptly update your information if it changes. Providing false registration information, including a false date of birth to circumvent the age restriction, is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate account termination.
Each individual may maintain only one active Tino account. Creating duplicate accounts to evade enforcement actions, bans, or suspensions is strictly prohibited and may result in the permanent termination of all accounts associated with the individual, as determined by Tino in its sole discretion.
You may register or authenticate using Apple Sign-In or Google. By doing so, you authorize Tino to access limited profile information from those providers as permitted by your authorization settings. Your use of third-party sign-in services is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of those respective providers.
The Service is intended for a global audience; however, it may not be available or fully functional in all countries or territories due to legal or technical constraints. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the Service complies with the laws and regulations of your country of residence.
You are solely responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. You agree not to share your password, authentication tokens, or any other account access information with any third party. Tino will never ask for your password through any communication channel, including email, push notification, or in-app message.
You must notify us promptly at service@tino.run if you become aware of, or reasonably suspect, any unauthorized access to your account or any other security compromise. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tino is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account credentials prior to your notification to us.
You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs through your account, whether or not initiated by you. This includes all content posted, purchases completed, interactions with other users, and any other actions taken under your account credentials.
Tino is a community-driven travel platform that connects explorers worldwide. The Service provides, among other features:
We aim to maintain continuous access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, infrastructure failures, or events beyond our reasonable control. We will provide advance notice of planned maintenance where practicable.
Tino is continuously developed and improved. We reserve the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any features or aspects of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice to users before making material changes that significantly affect their use of the Service.
Trip plans, itineraries, bucket lists, and travel notes you create within Tino are stored on our servers and associated with your account to enable cross-device access and continuity. This data belongs to you and may be exported or deleted at any time in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share your unpublished itinerary or trip planning data with third parties without your consent.
If you choose to make an itinerary or trip plan publicly visible on Tino, it becomes part of your UGC and is subject to the license grant in Section 6.2 and the visibility controls described in Section 6.5. You remain the owner of all original content in your itinerary and may set its visibility to private, followers-only, or public at any time.
Trip planning tools within Tino are provided for organizational and inspirational purposes. We do not verify the real-time accuracy of destination information, travel advisories, entry requirements, visa rules, operating hours, or pricing data that may appear within itinerary or planning features. You are responsible for independently verifying all such information before making travel arrangements. See also Section 13 (Travel Information Disclaimer).
You are solely responsible for all content you post, upload, share, or transmit through the Service (“Your Content”), including travel photographs, videos, destination reviews, check-ins, trip journals, comments, and reactions. By submitting Your Content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit it; (b) Your Content does not infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other third-party rights; and (c) Your Content complies with these Terms, our Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws.
By posting Your Content to the Service, you grant Tino a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (solely for formatting and technical optimization), display, distribute, and promote Your Content in connection with operating, improving, and marketing the Service. You retain full ownership of all original content you create. This license persists for a commercially reasonable period following account deletion to account for content shared or referenced by other users.
The publication of any UGC on the Service does not constitute Tino's endorsement, verification, approval, or recommendation of that content, its creator, or any destinations or services referenced within it. Users rely on community-generated travel information at their own discretion and risk.
You agree to post only content that you have created or have rights to. If you post travel content that includes or adapts material from other sources (such as maps, photographs taken by others, or excerpts from travel publications), you agree to provide proper attribution and to have secured any necessary rights or permissions. Presenting others' content as your own original work may constitute intellectual property infringement and a violation of these Terms.
You control who can see your content through per-post and account-level privacy settings. Public content is visible to all users and may be surfaced in external search engines. Followers-only content is restricted to your approved followers. Private content is visible only to you. You may adjust visibility settings at any time from within the app.
You may delete Your Content at any time from your profile. Deleted content is removed from public view within 48 hours and from production servers within 30 days. Residual copies in backup archives are purged within 90 days. Content that has been re-shared, commented upon, or referenced by other users cannot be fully retroactively removed from the context of those interactions.
Tino is built on a belief that travel broadens minds and brings people together. We ask all members to engage with the community in a spirit of curiosity, respect, and authenticity. The diversity of our global traveler community is one of our greatest strengths, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
All content you post must be relevant to travel, exploration, or lifestyle topics appropriate to the Tino community. Content must not be false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or otherwise harmful to other users or third parties. Spreading materially inaccurate travel safety information (e.g., false visa requirements, fabricated destination conditions) that could endanger other travelers is a serious violation of these Terms.
Content or behavior that attacks, demeans, or promotes hatred toward any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate enforcement action.
You may not use the Service to harass, intimidate, bully, stalk, or threaten any other user or individual. This includes repeated unwanted contact, coordinated reporting abuse, and the publication of private information about another person without their consent (doxxing). Violations will result in enforcement action up to and including permanent account termination and referral to law enforcement.
You may not engage in spam, coordinated inauthentic behavior, artificial inflation of engagement metrics, or impersonation of any person, organization, or Tino employee. Legitimate sponsored content and creator brand partnerships are permitted, provided they are clearly and prominently disclosed to your audience in compliance with applicable advertising standards.
Tino enforces an unconditional zero-tolerance policy toward any content, conduct, or activity that constitutes, facilitates, promotes, or glorifies Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This prohibition covers, without limitation, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming behaviors, solicitation of minors, trafficking of individuals under 18, and any other exploitation or endangerment of persons under 18 years of age. This policy admits of no exceptions and applies to all content types including text, images, video, audio, and hyperlinks.
We deploy automated hash-matching systems, AI-assisted content scanning, and trained human safety reviewers to identify and eliminate CSAE material. Upon confirmed detection or receipt of a credible report, we will take all of the following actions without delay: immediate and permanent removal of the content; permanent termination of the responsible account and blocking of associated device identifiers and IP addresses; mandatory reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and, where required by applicable law, to relevant national authorities; and proactive, full cooperation with any resulting law enforcement investigation, including the preservation and production of records as legally required.
Every Tino user has a shared responsibility to help keep the platform safe. If you encounter any content or behavior that you suspect constitutes CSAE, you must report it immediately using the in-app “Report” function on any post, profile, or piece of content, or by contacting us directly at service@tino.run with the subject line “CSAE Report.” All such reports are treated as our highest-priority safety matter and actioned immediately.
We implement age verification at registration, conduct ongoing moderation training, and regularly review and enhance our detection capabilities in line with evolving safety standards. We collaborate with recognized child safety organizations to ensure our practices remain at the forefront of platform child safety.
If you are a parent or guardian who believes a minor has registered for or is using Tino, please contact us immediately at service@tino.run. We will investigate and take all appropriate action, including permanent account deletion, without delay.
All rights, title, and interest in the Service — including the Tino name, logo, application design, interface, software, algorithms, recommendation systems, curated content libraries, and all other original materials created by or for Tino — are owned by or licensed to Tino and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws worldwide. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Tino's trademarks, trade names, logos, or other proprietary indicia without our prior written consent.
If you submit ideas, suggestions, feature requests, or feedback about the Service (“Feedback”), you agree that Tino may use such Feedback freely without any obligation of confidentiality or compensation. You hereby irrevocably assign to Tino all intellectual property rights in such Feedback to the extent assignable under applicable law.
If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property right, please send a notice to service@tino.run with the subject line “Copyright Notice” and include: (a) identification of the protected work; (b) identification and location of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact details; (d) a good-faith belief statement; and (e) a declaration of accuracy and authority. We will process valid notices promptly in accordance with applicable law.
Subject to your full and continued compliance with these Terms, Tino grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to install and use the Tino application on mobile devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use to access the Service as intended.
This license does not include any right to: (a) sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or any portion of it; (b) copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Service; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service; (d) access the Service by automated means, including bots, crawlers, scrapers, or similar tools; or (e) circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, access control, or digital rights management features of the Service.
All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Tino. Any unauthorized use of the Service automatically terminates the license granted to you and may constitute infringement of applicable intellectual property laws, for which Tino may seek remedies including injunctive relief and damages.
Tino may offer premium content collections, exclusive destination guides, and enhanced features available for purchase. All in-app transactions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Tino does not handle, store, or have access to your payment card information. We receive only anonymized transaction confirmation data to activate your purchased entitlements.
Upon completing a purchase, Tino grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the purchased content for your personal, non-commercial use within the Service. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or share purchased content outside of the Service, or use it in any commercial context without our prior written consent.
If you subscribe to a Tino premium tier, your subscription will automatically renew at the applicable rate at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your App Store or Google Play account settings. You can review and manage all active subscriptions through your platform account at any time.
All prices are displayed in the currency applicable to your storefront at the time of purchase. Tino reserves the right to change prices with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect subscription periods that are already paid for or in progress.
Except as required by applicable law or the refund policies of Apple or Google, all sales of digital content and subscriptions are final. Refund requests must be submitted directly to the relevant app store platform. For exceptional circumstances, you may contact us at service@tino.run, though Tino is not the billing party for platform purchases and refund authority rests with the applicable store.
You may restore previously purchased content on a new or reinstalled device using the Restore Purchases function within the app, provided you are signed into the same App Store or Google Play account used for the original purchase.
Tino requests access to your device's location to power travel discovery features including nearby destination recommendations, map-based exploration, and location-tagged posts. Location access is optional but required for certain core features. You control location permissions through your device's operating system settings and may revoke access at any time.
When creating a post or check-in, you decide whether to attach a location tag. Tino displays location information at the city or region level for public-facing content and does not expose precise GPS coordinates in any user-facing context. EXIF geolocation data embedded in uploaded photos is automatically stripped before your content is made publicly visible.
Tino does not collect background location data without your explicit consent. If any future feature requires background location access, we will present a separate consent prompt with a clear explanation of the feature and the data involved before requesting that permission.
All destination information, travel guides, itineraries, safety tips, visa information, and other travel-related content on the Service — whether created by Tino, contributed by community members, or surfaced through third-party integrations — is provided for informational and inspirational purposes only. It does not constitute professional travel, legal, medical, or safety advice.
Travel conditions, entry requirements, visa rules, health advisories, local laws, and operating hours change frequently and without notice. Tino does not independently verify the real-time accuracy of travel information on the platform. You are solely responsible for conducting your own research and consulting authoritative sources (including government travel advisories and embassy information) before making any travel decision.
Travel involves inherent risks. Tino is not responsible for any harm, injury, loss, or expense you may incur as a result of decisions made based on content found on the Service, including decisions about destinations visited, activities undertaken, or routes taken. Always exercise appropriate judgment and comply with local laws and guidance when traveling.
The Service contains content contributed by independent community members. Tino does not verify the accuracy, reliability, or safety of third-party UGC. Such content represents the individual views of its creator and does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, or verification by Tino.
The Service may contain links to external travel booking sites, equipment retailers, accommodation providers, and other third-party services. Some links may be affiliate links through which Tino or a creator may earn a commission. Tino is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party site. Visiting external links is at your own risk and subject to those third parties' own terms and policies.
Your use of the Tino application downloaded from the Apple App Store is additionally subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. Your use of the application downloaded from Google Play is additionally subject to Google Play's Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, the applicable platform's terms shall prevail with respect to platform-specific matters.
In connection with your use of the Service, you agree not to:
You may not use the Service to develop competing products or services, to systematically extract or resell Tino content, or to conduct commercial activities beyond those expressly permitted under these Terms. Creator monetization through Tino's authorized features and disclosed brand partnerships is not affected by this provision.
Tino reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, monitor, moderate, reject, edit, or remove any content from the Service at any time and in its sole discretion, without prior notice. Moderation is conducted using a combination of automated systems and human reviewers and is guided by these Terms, our Community Guidelines, and applicable law.
Every user may report content or accounts that appear to violate these Terms using the in-app reporting function. Reports are reviewed in good faith by our moderation team. Deliberate submission of false or malicious reports intended to harm other users constitutes a violation of these Terms and may itself result in enforcement action against the reporting account.
Violations of these Terms may result in one or more of the following enforcement actions: a formal warning; removal of specific content; temporary restriction of account features or posting privileges; temporary account suspension; or permanent account termination. The severity of enforcement is calibrated to the nature, seriousness, and frequency of the violation. For CSAE violations or severe illegal activity, immediate permanent termination and law enforcement referral will occur without warning.
If you believe an enforcement action was taken against your account or content in error, you may submit an appeal by emailing service@tino.run with the subject line “Enforcement Appeal,” specifying the action taken and the reasons you believe it was made in error. We will review your appeal in good faith and respond within a reasonable period. Tino is not obligated to reverse enforcement decisions in all cases, and appeals are not available for CSAE-related terminations.
You may terminate your Tino account at any time by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by emailing service@tino.run from your registered email address. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of previously purchased content or active subscription fees, except where required by applicable law or app store platform policies.
We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without prior notice, if we determine in our reasonable judgment that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity, or pose a risk to the safety, integrity, or reputation of the platform or its users. We will provide notice of termination where legally required and operationally feasible, except in cases where urgent action is necessary to protect community safety.
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. Your publicly posted content may remain visible unless you request deletion prior to or at the time of termination. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature survive termination shall continue to apply, including Sections 6.2, 9, 13, 18, 19, 20, and 21.
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT, FEATURES, AND FUNCTIONALITY THEREIN ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TINO EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
TINO DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY TRAVEL INFORMATION, DESTINATION REVIEWS, ITINERARIES, SAFETY ADVISORIES, OR OTHER CONTENT AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICE. YOUR RELIANCE ON SUCH CONTENT IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TINO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TINO OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF TINO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Tino's total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid directly to Tino (excluding amounts paid to Apple or Google) in the twelve-month period immediately preceding the claim giving rise to liability; or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or caps on liability; in such cases, Tino's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
You acknowledge that the limitations of liability set forth in this Section 19 reflect a reasonable allocation of risk and form an essential basis of the agreement between you and Tino. Tino would not provide the Service on the terms set out herein without these limitations.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tino and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of or access to the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your breach of these Terms; (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (e) your infringement of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
Tino reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume exclusive control and direction of the defense of any matter subject to indemnification by you. You agree to cooperate fully with Tino in such defense. You may not settle any claim that imposes any obligation, restriction, or liability on Tino without Tino's prior written approval.
Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact Tino at service@tino.run with a written description of your dispute and the resolution you are seeking. We will endeavor to respond and negotiate in good faith within 30 days. If the matter is not resolved within 60 days of your notice, either party may proceed to formal dispute resolution as described below.
Except for claims that qualify for small claims court, and except where the following is prohibited by applicable law, you and Tino agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitral institution in the jurisdiction of Tino's principal place of business, in accordance with that institution's applicable rules. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AND TINO EACH EXPRESSLY WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN OR BRING ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. All claims must be brought individually and not as a member of any class or representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable with respect to any claim, the arbitration provision in Section 21.2 shall not apply to that claim, and the claim shall proceed in a court of competent jurisdiction.
For users located in jurisdictions where mandatory arbitration or class action waivers are unenforceable as a matter of law (including users in EU member states and the United Kingdom), the arbitration provision and class action waiver above shall not apply to the extent prohibited. Such users retain the right to bring disputes before the courts of competent jurisdiction in their country of residence.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tino is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, except to the extent that mandatory consumer protection or data protection laws in your country of residence impose higher standards that cannot be contracted out of. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable statutory rights you hold under applicable local law.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection legislation (including EU member states, the United Kingdom, Australia, or other applicable territories), your statutory consumer rights are not affected or limited by these Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and your mandatory statutory rights, your statutory rights shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
We continuously evolve Tino to improve the travel community experience. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. For material changes that significantly affect how you use the Service, we will provide reasonable advance notice where technically and operationally practicable.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, we will notify you at least 14 days before the revised Terms take effect by displaying a prominent in-app notice, sending a push notification, and/or emailing your registered address. Non-material clarifications may be made without advance notice. The revised effective date will be updated at the top of this document.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your binding acceptance of those revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account before the changes take effect.
If a feature or content type you have purchased is discontinued, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to offer an alternative of equivalent value or provide a proportional credit. Refunds for such discontinuation are subject to applicable law and app store platform policies.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tino with respect to the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, whether written or oral, relating to the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Tino to be effective.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations hereunder, to any third party without Tino's prior written consent. Tino may freely assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users as described in our Privacy Policy.
Tino shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, pandemics, or other force majeure events. We will endeavor to notify users and restore service as quickly as reasonably practicable following such events.
For any questions, concerns, feedback, or legal notices regarding these Terms or the Service, please contact:
We aim to acknowledge all inquiries within 5 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 days.
Formal legal notices to Tino must be submitted by email to service@tino.run with the subject line “Legal Notice.” Legal notices become effective upon our written acknowledgment of receipt.
